New Medical Office Building
Opening Late 2007
In addition to the ongoing hospital expansion, St. Mary continues to welcome new physicians to its expert medical staff. To accommodate growing demand for office space on the hospital campus, a second Medical Office Building (MOB) will be constructed. This second MOB will be located between the existing MOB and the hospital (current site of the Administrative Support Building). The four-story, 102,000-square-foot building will connect to the hospital on three levels.
 |
Some of the new MOB's features will include:
- Fiber-optic technology to improve the flow of information between physicians' offices and the hospital
- Infrastructure to support the latest medical record technology in
the physician offices
- A ground-floor café with seating area, offering breakfast, lunch, and gourmet "grab-and-go" fare
- Convenient, free parking in a new, two-story parking deck dedicated physician and staff parking,, as well as a patient drop-off zone for increased convenience

"Blessed by good weather," construction of the second Medical Office Building is on schedule, St. Mary President and CEO Greg Wozniak told colleagues at a recent Town Hall meeting.
MOB II should be completed by the end of December, with tenants moving in early next year. The steel frame for the building was erected in the spring, and the next step is the pouring of concrete floors, says Ed Maher, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.
Three levels of the MOB II are dedicated to medical office space. St. Mary Medical Center, which will use the ground floor for its Sleep/Wake Disorders Center, is identifying other hospital services that could move into the new building, Maher says.
